Lisa was born and raised on a northeast Kansas family farm. She is a graduate of Kansas State University and the University of Kansas Medical School. Lisa recently retired after spending 3 decades as a dedicated, passionate healthcare physician for children (10 years as a general pediatrician in Topeka/20 years as a pediatric hospitalist at Children’s Mercy Kansas City). She continues to serve as a pediatric healthcare provider educator and enjoys playing the piano, running, yoga, walking/coffee with friends and traveling. Lisa has been married to Terry for 38 years. They love spending time with their two grown children and playing pickleball.
