Kristina Smith

Public Biography

Kristina Smith was born in Italy to a United States Air Force family. Kristina returned to the state of Kansas with her family at six months old. Deeply rooted in Kansas values, she has built a life centered on service, community, and unwavering dedication to her faith and family. Kristina is currently the Director of Development at Kansans for Life (KFL), the state’s oldest and largest pro-life organization, where she previously served as Director of the Political Action Committee. Before joining KFL, she spent over 25 years as a self-employed paralegal and bookkeeper/payroll, serving a wide range of clientele with integrity and precision. Her professional background also includes extensive administrative and legal support roles. Her entry into the political arena took a decisive turn when she became Treasurer of the Wyandotte County Republican Central Committee from 2018 to 2021. She also served in 2020 as Campaign Treasurer for multiple political campaigns, including her own. Civically engaged and politically active, she has served as a Kansas Republican Party Platform Committee (2025–Present), a Kansas Delegate to the RNC Platform Committee (2024), and both a Kansas Third District Delegate (2024) and At-Large Delegate (2020) to the Republican Presidential Nominating Conventions. She proudly represents Wyandotte County as Precinct 7-9 Republican Committeewoman and has been a Kansas Third District Republican Delegate since 2018. Her involvement extends to youth and community development, currently serving on the Program Development Committee for 4-H Youth Development at K-State Wyandotte County Research & Extension. She is the wife of a 38-year veteran of the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, a devoted mother of two married children, and a proud grandmother.
