Kylie Hicken is a wife, mother of three, business owner, and active member of the Abilene community. Together with her husband, she runs Wizard of Odz and Ends, a boutique kitchen and bath design firm built on their family’s sixth-generation homestead. She is deeply involved in her local church and serves as a mentor for
youth in the Dickinson County CEO Program. She has enjoyed serving as the Vice President of the Dickinson County Republican Women and will assume the role of President starting in January 2026.

Kylie grew up in Pennsylvania, frequently visiting her grandparents in Abilene and always loved the freedom she experienced there as she swam in cow troughs, rode in tractors, and built forts among the ‘amber waves of grain.’ She graduated with honors in Biology and French from James Madison University and spent two years volunteering with a missions organization in West Africa. She then spent years both teaching French and working in the design industry in Florida and Georgia before moving to Abilene in 2015 with her family to follow her American Dream to return to her roots and launch a business.

Kylie’s hobbies include traveling to new and exciting places, watching movies, cooking with her daughter, riding roller coasters with her kids, and enjoying the simple things in life – like regular date nights under the stairs out on the back porch.
