Connie Croft currently serves as the President of the Kansas Legislative Spouses. She has been an active member of this organization since her husband was elected to the Kansas House in 2019. Prior to becoming a legislative spouse, Connie was a 30 year military spouse, volunteering where she was needed while her husband served in the U.S. Army. They celebrated their 40th anniversary in March 2025. Connie grew up in central Florida and met Chris at the University of Florida. After they wed, they transferred to the University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelor degree in Health Science. While stationed in Hawaii,
Connie earned her Master of Public Health degree at the University of Hawaii. Upon their return to the mainland, Connie focused on supporting her husband and raising their 2 children. Throughout their 14 military moves worldwide, volunteerism was always a pivotal part of her life. At their last duty station, Fort Leavenworth, KS, Connie served 3 years as the Friends of the Frontier Army Museum board president where she rebranded the organization, started an annual high school essay contest, continued the Annual Haunted and Historic homes tours and installed a Frontier Tribute Trail beautification and fundraising project in front of the museum. Their children are grown now and they have 6 grandchildren who live in Virginia. They visit them as often as possible. In between visits, Connie enjoys reading, travel, friends and family. The current apple of their eye is their blonde dachshund, Zoey.
