| Public Biography | Betty Mattingly-Ebert was born and raised in Mechanicsville, Maryland, the youngest of three girls. After traveling the world as a US Army spouse, Betty landed in Manhattan where she met her husband. She and Ken, her husband of eleven years, have a blended family of five children, and seven grandchildren. Let’s not forget the three miniature dachshunds. Betty attended Kansas State University as a non-traditional student and earned her BS of Interior Design. She was employed as an interior designer for many years in a mid-size architectural firm working her way to Vice-President. In 2014 she started her own firm, Paradoxx Design, but is slowing to a semi-retirement. She also volunteered her time with the professional organization NCIDQ for several years, advancing the profession of commercial interior design accreditation and licensure. Betty has volunteered on several civic, community, and philanthropic boards. She is currently a Riley County Republican precinct officer, the Chair for the Riley County Republican Party, and a delegate for the Big First. |
